Common questions

Is there really a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan lets you explore the platform as a client or freelancer: browse the marketplace, apply to projects, or post one of your own. You only need a paid plan when your usage grows.

How does the 10% commission work?

On every completed transaction, Workzo charges 10% to the client on top of the agreed amount, and takes 10% from the freelancer's payout. For example, on a $1,000 project the client pays $1,100 and the freelancer receives $900.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes. You can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

How do milestone payments work?

When a client funds a milestone, the payment is held securely until the freelancer delivers and the client approves the work. Neither party can access the funds until the milestone is resolved.

Where is Workzo available?

Workzo is launching exclusively in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto area. We're starting local to ensure the quality of our talent network before expanding.
